The official launch took place on February 16, 2023 at the esplanade of the National Museum of Yaoundé under the aegis of Pierre Ismaël Bidoung Mkpatt, Minister of Arts and Culture.

To this end, from February 16 to 18, 2023, the cultural event which also aims to explore the rich cultural heritage of the North and South-West regions of Cameroon will highlight various activities, namely music with the exhibition of musical instruments ; fashion, with the exhibition of traditional outfits; the exhibition of traditional dishes; a showcase of professional training; performances for the consolidation of living together and unity; showcase of games and competitions; conferences; villages of various fairs and exhibitions,” reports Chilli Wawaye, organizer of the said festival.
Like many other cultural events, the Kintati arts and culture festival promotes cultural heritage and promotes culture as a whole.
Moreover, Armand Abanda Maye, Director of Development and Promotion of the Arts at the Ministry of Arts and Culture recognizes it, “This is a major cultural event in the context of our future cultural calendar. Major, in the sense that it meets the objectives of structuring the arts and culture sector, in particular its organization into an artistic and cultural pole called to become artistic federations. These federations are called upon to set up training programs but above all expression programs that will lead us to cultural industries, a bit like the one we see today with Kintati Art, which allows us to start from our traditions to market products. »
Taking part in this festival as an exhibitor, Abraham Asongwe, manufacturer of charcoal ovens, originally from the city of Bamenda, started making ovens from clay and aluminum materials. These practical ovens for the preparation of food with a long cooking time have the advantage of having tanks to collect ashes.
In terms of lifespan, it varies between 10 and 15 years and the time taken to make it is around 5 to 6 hours. On the price side, they oscillate between 10,000 FCFA and 15,000 FCFA.
As the occasion make a thief , this craftsman hopes to make himself known and sell his products through this festival, moreover he is available to be able to offer training for young people interested in this art.
